Health
and Safety Policy
Wild Spirits management and senior staff have overall
responsibility for the implementation of the Health and
Safety Policy and all staff have their individual responsibilities
defined. Safety policy and operating procedures shall
be agreed on and adhered to by all staff.
The HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY shall be dependant on
current Health and Safety laws and RISK ASSESSMENTS,
which shall be reviewed at regular intervals. Controls
of hazards and risks identified, corrective and preventative
action shall be the responsibility of the Management
and Senior staff in conjunction with the appropriate
technical advisors.
Staff shall be made aware of the details of the RISK
ASSESSMENTS and controls provided and shall receive
appropriate training.
The requirements of the REPORTING OF INJURIES, DISEASES
AND DANGEROUS OCCURENCES REGULATIONS 1995 shall be followed
including the use of an accident book, Accident report
forms which will be reviewed regularly and action taken
to prevent repetition of injuries.
The centre shall be covered by insurance for public
and third party liability, and for employer’s
liability.
Booking forms shall record information about any pre-course
requirements, emergency contacts and declarations of
any health problems, which may effect participation.
Centre procedures shall define action to be taken in
the event of an accident such as an accident or serious
imminent danger.
The management shall conduct a regular review of all
Health and Safety including staff performance and records
of injuries, ill health and accidental loss.
Records of these assessments shall be kept. The management
shall be responsible for implementing appropriate, corrective
and preventative action
The Management will ensure that the policy is understood,
implemented and maintained at all levels.
